And such a sweetheart. He slept through nearly the entire session. Quickest newborn session ever.![]()

What a fun day. Honestly. I ended today with a bang out in Northern Arlington on the grounds of one of the many beautiful nature centers. It was hard to believe it was winter with temperatures in the upper 50s, gorgeous sunlight and the faintest of breezes. Can’t wait to welcome this little one as well in April!

I am loving my job more and more as I get to meet up with the most wonderful couples. Am I weird to think that I could be friends with my clients in “real life”? This morning (and this afternoon… but more on that later) I met up in Old Town Alexandria with Lauren Jennifer and Stephen to document Jennifer’s pregnancy up to this point. I love knowing that in just a couple short months I will get to meet and welcome their little boy!

While photographing the sweet little 6 week old last week I heard the parents chuckling. When I turned around to see what they found to be funny, they pointed out the following:
This little giraffe on the right makes white noise and many of the families I meet have this cute stuffed toy. When I had grabbed him, I just plopped him on the floor, not noticing that he was kneeling in front of the baby in the nest/basket. Too cute.

I’ve had a wonderfully busy weekend. One late morning was spent with this sweet little six week old and her loving parents. We bonded over the fact that mom went to W&L and Vanderbilt (same as us!). Oh how I love it when this big world becomes just a bit smaller.
